Story Highlights

• 4-week event starts May 7, 2026  -  collect Nova Crystals during matches to transform into overpowered Starr Girls (Spike, Bea, Juju, Amber, and later Starr Nova).
• Transformations start at Power Level 11 and can be upgraded to Power Level 30 via Nova Drops. Starr Nova herself starts at Max Power and arrives in Week 2.
• Free Void Master Finx Skin  -  earned by dealing enough damage to the Finx boss through damage activations from Starr Girl level-ups. F2P players can unlock it by opening around 100 Nova Drops.
• Transform modifier active in Featured Modes and randomly selected Trophy Modes.

Brawl Stars is kicking off May with its biggest event of the season: Starr Nova. Running for four full weeks, it introduces a brand-new transformation mechanic, a free legendary-quality skin for Finx, and a progression system that lets you power up special Starr Girls from Level 11 all the way to Level 30.

How the Event Works

• Play matches in Featured Modes or certain Trophy Modes.
• Nova Crystals spawn during battles  -  pick one up to temporarily transform into a Starr Girl (powered-up version of Spike, Bea, Juju, Amber, and later Starr Nova herself).
• Transformations are not instant  -  there’s a visual telegraph before they complete, so you know when a boosted enemy is about to appear.
• Starr Girls are significantly stronger than base Brawlers and have unique ability kits.

Starr Girls Progression

How to upgrade: Open Nova Drops (earned through daily wins, mega quests, and event challenges). Each level-up grants a damage activation on the event screen. Tap it - your Starr Girl attacks Finx. Deal enough cumulative damage, and the Void Master Finx Skin is yours.

F2P tip: You can earn around 125 Nova Drops just by playing actively every day - more than enough to unlock the skin.

Rewards Overview

• Void Master Finx Skin - free, unlocked through boss damage progression.
• Nova Drops - contain Coins, Power Points, Bling, and Starr Girl upgrades.
• Starr Nova Boxes (Week 3–4)  -  earn one for every two wins. Contain resources, up to 15 skins, and a 0.33% chance to unlock the Starr Nova Brawler early (converts to 1,000 Credits if already owned).
• Fallback rewards - after unlocking the Finx skin, additional level-ups grant alternative rewards.

Key Details You Might Miss

• If you own any Starr Patrol skins, your Brawler starts dancing on the event screen. Purely cosmetic, but a nice touch.
• Starr Nova (the Brawler) is separate from the event transformation. She’s a Mythic Assassin launching May 22–24 with her own unlock event.
• Two modifiers exist: one with Starr Nova (Week 2 onward) and one without (Week 1)
