Super creator for mo.co

ABOUT HX

HX is a Switzerland-based super creator and one of the leading figures in the scene around mo.co. Originally drawn to MMO-style experiences, HX discovered the game during its early development and quickly became deeply involved after its first release in 2025, staying committed ever since.

Rather than focusing purely on traditional content creation, HX built a reputation through organizing large-scale community events and competitive tournaments. Notable examples include the Dojo Cup and Legacy Cup, which helped lay the foundation for an emerging esports scene within mo.co. Through these events, HX emphasizes teamwork, competition, and giving visibility to as many players as possible, turning the community into the core of the content.

With a strong interest in speedrunning and PvE gameplay, HX has also reached a high competitive level in the game, becoming one of the top-ranked players globally. This experience, combined with hundreds of hours of gameplay and theorycrafting, has shaped a deep understanding of game mechanics, optimization, and team coordination.

HX views the YouTube channel primarily as a platform to support and grow the community rather than as a personal spotlight. Acting as a bridge between developers and players, HX focuses on transparency, communication, and creating opportunities for others to participate - whether through events, discussions, or future esports initiatives.

Looking ahead, HX aims to expand the competitive scene of mo.co, develop more community-driven projects, and continue building a space where players can connect, compete, and share their passion for the game.

INTERVIEW

Q: Hi HX! Could you tell us a bit more about yourself: how did you find out about mo.co and start creating content for it?

HX: Hello ! I’m quite a big fan of MMO games. I was looking for a new one to try back in 2023 / 2024. Around march 2024 I heard of Supercell cooking their own sort of MMO. I was VERY interested in what they could do, so I started following the development of the game. In March 2025, moco was released for the first time. I gave it a try and.. Well I haven’t stopped playing since then !

I just love getting into a motivated and caring community and interacting with it. You really make true friends finding people that love a game as much as you do. From the previous games I played, I often recorded random moments that I would keep on private yt channels. Just for me in the future to be nostalgic about. And I knew that I would have that with moco, so I decided to record as many things as I could so that I would never forget what I did in this game. And well, it happened that with my teams, we were the first to get through a lot the toughest rifts of moco’s chapter 2.

This gave my video runs more and more attention. To the point where I realized I had a small community around me ! That made me go one step further: why not use this community to build community events, or even better: tournaments.

Q: Have you played any other Supercell games, such as Brawl Stars, Clash of Clans or Clash Royale?

HX: I did play Clash Royale when it first came out, I got to 4’000 trophies which was the max before trophy reset back in.. 2016 ? 2017 ? I haven’t played since then, I’m probably really bad at it today. I also played a bunch of Brawl Stars in 2024 and early 2025 and I still follow the esports scene today. But I stopped playing since moco came out.

Q: What attracted you to mo.co in particular? What sets it apart from the company’s other games?

HX: All of Supercell games follow the same pattern: you click on “Play”, get into a game, win or lose, and then repeat: essentially the match you play has a start and an end. In moco, and especially in open worlds, you enter a world.. And you can play forever !

I love this freedom this gives as it allows you to wander anywhere you want and do anything you’d like. But moco is also unique in 2 other ways: it’s mainly based around PvE and speedrunning, two things I was looking forward to as I was starting to get bored of classic PvP games. And speedrun is such a crazy way to improve yourself and push your own limits but also the limits of the game to their absolute highest ! I have learned so much about min maxxing through my hours of gameplay.

Q: You organised the Legacy Cup & Dojo Cup! Tell us how you managed to integrate this into mo.co and how difficult was it?

HX: I’m someone that loves competition, I can’t explain why, it thrives me. As the devs announced the delay of the moco update back in September 2025, I took it as an opportunity to build the first basis of a possible moco esports scene, and that goes through tournaments ! It first started with the Dojo World Cup in October / November of last year. I know people are always greatly motivated when they can represent their region, and I had a million ideas I wanted to implement to see how competitive moco could look like. So with the help of the TFE discord ran by otop, we let players participate to a Dojo Tournament, and we made their regions 1v1 in a tournament tree. A 1v1 between two regions would basically be all the players running the same dojo, and us calculating the average of the best runs, to then get a winner. It’s cool because although you play a dojo alone, you still communicate with your teammates to build strategies and share your times.

On the organization side ? God was it tiring. My first experience dealing with creating precise rules, a fair environment, taking care of the teams, the players, the moderation staff, solving all the small issues that would arrive here and there, possible dramas. But also always improving from one match to another, to make sure that if a mistake happens, it only does so once. Moreover, the participants are not paid pros, you can not expect them to be available all the time and to be motivated through the whole tournament: everyone has their own life outside of moco! Which made it another hurdle to overcome. On top of that, I really wanted to emphasize the “community” aspect of the tournament, and doing videos showcasing the players doing the best runs was for me the best way to bring everyone under the spotlight. In my tournament videos, you barely see gameplay from me. I really want to give screen time to as many people as I can, because I know how cool it can feel to see yourself as “the main character”.

Then, I contacted Joao, the community manager of moco, and he had a great idea for a live team versus team type of moco tournament. And from there the Legacy Cup was born ! Way way way sweatier. Teams of 4 / 5 people that had weeks to prepare a rift pool, and then face another team in a best of 5 1v1, where both teams start a run at the same time, and whoever finishes first wins. The experience from previous tourneys and the new challenges this brought made it an insane experience as well. A lot more technical details to take care of. You need to get 8 players + a moderation team all online at the same time, knowing everyone has their own life on the side. Adding to that the game not having any spectating option, so teams had to stream and record their own POV. Editing everything into a video. And doing that as fast as possible because there are viewers waiting for the matches to be released. But we managed to get through everything without troubles ! And on top of that, I made the match videos release as premieres on youtube, allowing us to have an actual live audience, and feel as if matches were played live. Community-wise, that was a real banger I must say, got a lot of positive feedback, which was a relief.

It’s always difficult to organize such things, but through these past tournaments I have built experience that makes me fear future tournament ideas way less.

Q: What do you think sets you apart from other mo.co content creators?

HX: I don’t like saying I’m a “content creator” or a “youtuber”. I actually think I’m not that good at entertaining people. My content is not my videos or my entertainment, but rather all the community things I can organize or manage thanks to all the people that now trust me and that I trust too. The youtube channel is just a way to showcase that. I’m still quite new to that content creation world as I barely started last year, my vision of it will maybe evolve, who knows.

Q: If you had the chance, what would you change about mo.co? What would it be and why?

HX: The cool thing about the moco devs: they listen ! A lot of things that I’d like to see changed or added are actually going to arrive in neo moco ! For example: a countdown at the beginning of rifts and dojos so that your speedrun is not spawn time based. Or tournaments offering mogold rewards: the in game currency. Joao is always willing to help us with that.

Although, if I had one massive thing I could add. I’d be curious to see moco with many more activities in worlds. We currently just fight monsters: what if we could fish ? Mine resources ? Cook some food ? Solve enigmas ? Collect rare flowers ? The potential of MMOs is endless, and so is it for moco.

Q: You’re currently ranked 2nd in the world at Elite Hunter level 212! How many hours a day do you play, and what helped you reach such a high position?

HX: I don’t think I am really #2. Chapter 1 gave massive problems with XP as people could create alternative accounts and not complete quests on purpose so that they would still have them for chapter 2. LewisP, the current #1, is one of these alters. And DD (in game name Milk) is probably the #2 right now. I am indeed one of the highest non alter level, but current moco grind isn’t crazy. I did all the quests the game had to offer in August of 2025 and since 2026 my daily playtime is just 20min - 40min of grinding the daily xp we are given.

When I sweated the game the most in June - October, I would play a good 10h / day on average. And probably around 15h / day during the first week of chapter 2.

Q: Which is more difficult for you - dojos or rifts? Which dojo or rift was the most difficult for you, and what made it so challenging?

HX: Rifts are by far more challenging than dojos, because having 4 players play perfectly for 2 minutes is much harder than 1 player playing perfectly for 1 minute.

Rifts also force good teamplay and it’s therefore there that you see the best players shine: you need to play well around the mobs, but also with your teammates, and have a much better adaptability to whatever can happen. The hardest Rift the community faced was The High Court, in Nightmare difficulty (the hardest) and doing what we call a “sub2” which means clearing it in less than 2minutes. The devs clearly did an oversight of that rift, as the Bosses have way too much HP and Damage for the sub2 to be done before reaching elite level 100, which was supposed to be the end game of moco chapter 2.

And well, I have poured hundreds of hours to always improve: knowing the bosses’ interactions, their attack patterns, dealing with RNG, improving strategies, theorycrafting the gear used, positioning, min-maxxing DPS etc.. In the end, the sub2 was reached at roughly elite level 140. Which is funny because today, a full team of elite 200s can go all the way to sub130, making that sub2 achievement feel meaningless.

Q: Neo mo.co is due to be released soon. How much do you think this will change the game?

HX: Neo moco will be the equivalent of 8 months of updates into 1, it will drastically change the game.

The way we play it, we progress through it, we get rewards from it. Moco has been sitting as a work in progress game for a while now, the neo update will finally bring it to life !

Q: Based on what the community has already seen of what’s coming in Neo mo.co (for example, the weapons’ masteries), what do you think is the best change and why?

HX: Chapters becoming seasons is by far the best change in my opinion. Chapters were first planned to last 3 months each, with some progression reset, and some progression not, a lot of issues with XP, content and much more. That chapter system was doomed to not work over many years. Going to a seasonal system, 1 season being 1 month, will make the game much more stable and allow the devs to release new content with a better pace, events can be implemented with more ease. Yeah, it makes everything better.

Q: You’ve only just become a super creator! Describe your initial feelings: what was it like for you to enter your own code into the game?

HX: I became a super creator on March 20th 2026. On March 20th 2025, I had 0 subscribers on my youtube channel, so it’s hard to truly realize the ascension this has been! The creator code is just a bonus to be honest, I don’t like begging people to use it. I always wanted to give my best for the moco community that still cared about the game through the MONTHS of no updates. And now I can be that bridge between the designers of the game and the community, making everything as transparent as I can for both sides. I love that role and I wish I can do it for many years to come.

Q: Do you keep in touch with other creators on mo.co? Have you ever thought about doing something together? For example, a video or an interesting giveaway?

HX: The community is still very small, everyone knows everyone ! I already made a podcast with Gaztommo and lowercase (SuperCreator and TrustedCreator). I talk with Xpectation about the game or neo moco (another SuperCreator), I had dms with Xpect before even reaching 200 subscribers on my channel.

But there are tons of other creators in our moco niche, all doing their own things: HSNBRG streams everyday, M1FEX and mo.academy still make content even though the game is as dead as it can be, Crisan is breaking every new rift limit with his team…

Maybe we don’t collab as much as we should, but at least we all know what each other is doing. I’m always open to anything though.

For future plans, I’d love to see a bi-weekly moco podcast coming to life, but it can be hard to maintain. Maybe Sly (a good friend) and I can make that happen, but nothing’s sure yet.

Q: What advice would you give to creators who want to make a name for themselves, particularly with mo.co content?

HX: One rule I follow when doing videos: always improve one thing from your previous one. Whatever it can be, feedback from a comment, small detail in a thumbnail, better mic, adding music, adjusting volumes, video descriptions, adding timestamps, subtitles, small zooms, even just a font used during 3s. As long as you can pinpoint one improvable feature, and work towards it, then you are going a step further. Because staying in your comfort zone is staying in that dangerous routine that makes creating content not enjoyable.

Q: To wrap up the interview: what are your future plans for mo.co? How do you plan to create content for Neo mo.co, which is about to be launched?

HX: As I said, I prefer seeing my channel as a community hub rather than me doing entertainment.
I would like to cover all the possible news around the game.
I would like to host many more community events or tournaments (I have tons of ideas left in the tank, and get new ones every week). If possible, I would also like to help others with their own projects. It would be wonderful to have a sort of moco news every week showcasing what people are planning to host or organize so that others can join or participate.

And finally, the Legacy Cup was the true first step towards moco esports. My goal for 2026 is to make a true second step.
